RNESU's 2022 Celebration of Contributions Honorees

Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union recently hosted its annual Celebration of Contribution to recognize, honor and celebrate teachers and staff members who have made outstanding contributions and have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to excellence. 

The 2021-2022 school year honorees included:

Distinguished Licensed Professionals:
Jennifer Hogan – Art Teacher & Academic Interventionist – Barstow Memorial School
Melanie Parker – School Nurse – Lothrop School
Katherine Kloss – Literacy Interventionist – Neshobe School
Brenna Kimball – 1st Grade Teacher – Otter Creek Academy
Alyson Callahan – HS Social Studies Teacher – Otter Valley Union Middle High School
Susan Smiel – EEE Early Ed Teacher - RNESU

 In addition to the above honors, Susan Smiel was chosen as the RNESU Outstanding Teacher for grades PreK to 6, along with Alyson Callahan as the RNESU Outstanding Teacher for High School for the 2022 UVM Teacher of the Year award. 

Superintendent of Schools, Kristin Hubert said,  "RNESU is dedicated to the development of character, competence, creativity and community and we have a faculty and staff that embody these qualities on a daily basis. Although it is never easy to celebrate only a few individuals, this year’s recipients are extremely deserving of the recognition. It is my distinct honor and privilege to call them colleagues and members of the RNESU professional community serving our schools, its students, and families."
