Universal Pre Kindergarten
Welcome to Our RNESU Preschools
Our preschools are places where children are encouraged to wonder, explore, and delight in learning. Nature, art, music, movement, and storytelling weave naturally into our days, helping children develop not only foundational academic skills in reading and math but also imagination, empathy, and a life long love of learning.
Preschool Registration Process
Registration for the upcoming school year opens January 5th.
Child Care Licensing regulations limit the number of children who can be enrolled in each preschool classroom, so spaces are limited. Priority is first given to resident children of our district and returning students. After resident spots are filled, any remaining openings will be offered to non-residents.
Enrollment is first come, first served. Completion of registration does NOT guarantee a spot in one of our preschool classrooms.
Notification of enrollment is ongoing as registrations are reviewed and openings become available. A member of our administrative team will contact you as soon as we are able to confirm whether a spot is available for your child.
Kindly note that your child’s registration is not considered complete until all required documentation has been uploaded, including proof of residency, birth certificate, immunization records, and any additional required forms.
Incomplete registrations cannot be processed. If you are registering through Powerschool, please ensure that all fields are completed fully.
As you begin the preschool registration process it will be helpful to have the following information available:
Primary medical provider's contact information
Dentist contact information
Health Insurance Information

FAQ: Re-Registering Returning Preschool Students
Universal Prekindergarten (PreK)
Vermont’s Universal PreKindergarten Education provides publicly-funded early learning opportunities for all Vermont three and four year olds (and five year olds not yet enrolled in Kindergarten). Families register their child with their home school district and may choose a preschool for their child from a network or approved prequalified programs. Once registration is complete and eligibility is confirmed, the state portion of public tuition -10 hours per week for 35 weeks-is paid by the Supervisory Union directly to the prequalified UPK program the family selects.
